Happy Easter!

Here are a few pics of the Easter desserts I'll be taking to our family today. They are nothing special, really. With tax season winding down, I didn't have much time, so I used store bought (gasp!) everything. The mix I used was Duncan Hines french vanilla and the icing was Duncan Hines buttercream. I felt kind of bad about doing that, so I thought I would at least decorate the cake with something Eastery and spring-like. I used the pastel colored M&M's for the border on the cake, and topped each cupcake with a couple.

I'm also a HORRIBLE cake froster, but I used some tips from smitten kitchen's website and the cake turned out okay. It's not smooth, but there are no cake crumbs like usual, thanks to her helpful post.
