Asian Turkey Burgers

I got this recipe out of the weeknight meals cookbook I posted about earlier this week. Everything I've blogged about so far since I've started, I've liked. These burgers, however, are the exception. I thought I would post the recipe anyway, in case someone out there was ambitious enough to try these. If you DO try them, please let me know how they came out!

Asian Turkey Burgers
FAVORITE BRAND NAME Incredibly Easy Weeknight Meals

Ingredients

1 lb ground turkey
1 1/3 cups French Fried Onions
1/3 cup finely chopped water chestnuts
1 egg
1/4 cup dry bread crumbs
3 tablespoons asian stir fry sauce
1 tablespoon Frank's Red Hot
2 teaspoons ginger
4 sandwich buns
shredded lettuce

Directions

Combine all ingredients except buns, 1/3 cup onions and lettuce in a large bowl. Shape into 4 patties.

Broil patties 6 inches from heat, or grill over medium coals, 10 minutes, or until no longer pink in center. Serve on buns. Top with remaining onions and lettuce.

Servings: 4

Review

Let me preface this with the fact that I've never eaten a turkey burger before, so I'm not sure if I just don't like turkey burgers in general, or if I didn't like these turkey burgers. I could not pinpoint the specific thing I didn't like about them, it was just all the spices together. I felt like they didn't really compliment the meat's taste. My husband, however, didn't think they were bad - just not my BEST meal over the last few weeks. I agreed with the second part of that statement whole heartedly.
